Running and the upcoming i'm WATCH

Yesterday presented as a wonderful day for a short training run along the streets of Provo and Orem. The Simplifile office sits adjacent the beautiful Provo River and The Shops at Riverwoods. An easy training run for the upcoming RANGAR or better knows as the WBR (Wasatch Back Relay).

Today is now, June 3rd, and there are only 14 days left of running & training our bodies until the ultimate test WBR presents. That of 12 friends and co-workers running from Logan, Utah over to Park City, Utah going 188 miles in 24 hours - wish us luck! Fortunately, we know this routine, a bit, as Team Simplifile approaches the fifth year in doing such an outstanding event.

As Team Captain it continues to be an exilirating adventure keeping up-to-date with the dramatic team changes, challenges of training balanced with life, and organizing twelve different agendas into two cargo vans. Once again, the weekend of June 17th and 18th should be a nearly indescribable memory only to be told by via much laughter, high-resolution photography, social media posts, and friendly stories...

On a happier note - I switch from the world of iPhone and Apple OS technology that I closely embrace and have embraced since September, 2008 with my first iPhone 3G.  The following summer, July 2009 I jumped up to the 3Gs. In anticipation and desire for the white iPhone 4 I waited and waited during 2010. Now, today, June 3rd, 2011 it is been a week and a few days with a new, more open experience - the Android OS 2.2 running on the AT&T Samsung Infuse. A 4.5 inch spectacular screen, and faster processer. Although, going from a 2009 phone to a 2011 phone of course this is apples to oranges.  I can easily compare the iPhone 4 to the Infuse and... it is better in many ways and not so in others.

The Apple iPhone
Apple continues to provide a level of stability, functionality, and performance packed together with endless features.

The Google Android Phone
Google is my love affair that now Apple knows about! For years I stuggled to hide the passion for the open-minded Operating System that so many hated while they held their shinny Apple logo mobile. However, now a week later, will I return to my shinny, happy peers...? TBD (to be determined) Costco was kind enough to allow a thirty-day trial with no activation fee, no restocking fee; which gives me 22 more days to be gladly be indecisive. During the next two plus weeks I shall press forward exploring this new device with a Super AMOLED screen bosting 16 sub-pixels

What have I missed about the iPhone?
The iPhone simply works, one turns it one, chooses the app, it loads, synchronizes, notifies, makes the appropriate sounds, and updates.  I cannot get over how some of the apps on the Android are less than perfect with their functionality and execution.  Apple, have you spoiled me a bit too much these past three years? Or, do I just need Samsung and Google to be best of friends and release the Gingerbread 2.3 OS upgrade?

Friends, family, co-workers, and others I leave the disussion open-ended for next week Apple announces iOS 5, iCloud, and perhaps they will throw everyone a bone about the next iPhone 5 (iPhone 4s)? One more tidbit of intel. When it comes to music (managing, purchasing, playing, and storing) iTunes was and still is amazing! However, the Amazon Cloud services and MP3 App are nice alternative.
