Fitbit One vs. Misfit and Vivofit 2

Good morning! How did you sleep last night...? How far did you walk yesterday? How many flights of stairs did you climb last year? Okay, not everyone needs to know nor does everyone care to know all of these statistics. However, I do! Back in January, 2013 I entered the realm of fitness trackers as I walked through the door labeled, +Fitbit and the room was much more detailed and larger than I initially thought. Turns out there is a large niche of folks out there feeling the same way about fitness as I do. Why does one need to attend a gym and pay those monthly fees? With a fitness tracker worn on your wrist or clipped to your belt you don't need to! These small devices track everything for you and after a few weeks the thought of wearing one and carrying it with your person, yeah, the initial bothersome feeling goes away and the fun begins!

Which fitness trackers have I used to date?
2013 - +Fitbit One and the +Garmin +Vivofit (first generation), Fitbit Force, and the Fitbit Flex
2014 - Amiigo tracker, Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Flex again, and the Fitbit Surge smartwatch,
2015 - Apple Watch, Fitbit Charge HR, Pebble Time with Misfit, Garmin Vivosmart, Fitbit Surge, and the Garmin Vivofit 2

Front curiosity and to see how much +Garmin changed their device software and hardware I decided to try their new entry-level tracker called, vivofit 2. There are three main changes:
1. back-light
2. stopwatch
3. beeping noise

The back-light is nice; however, given it is nearly the year 2016, an e-read screen or an OLED screen would be standard. There are few missing and poorly designed features causing me to think about returning it after day four:
1. no alarm
2. synchronization is bothersome
3. leadboard is difficult to use
4. iPhone app doesn't update fully
5. The Ant+ USB dongle doesn't automatically synchronize the tracker

As far as the accuracy, it is great! I have been wearing it on my right wrist since my Pebble Time has the primary real-estate of the left. During previous testing wearing multiple trackers the different between dominant or non-dominant hand is only a few hundred daily steps.
