I could not resist the mountains, and rolling hills near our office. Downed some Nuun drink, laced up my Asics, grabbed my camera, and we were of to Provo Canyon. I consider Utah a great state for runners, triathletes, and skiers. During the summer months, running and triathlon training never fail to fill my lunch breaks with excellent adventures. Perhaps, as the years advance this lunch-break workouts will lengthen and spill over to Saturday morning endurance workouts. Nevertheless, even a 50 minute trail run up to the top hills over looking Provo Canyon we perfect! If you are driving on I-15, take the 800 north exit and drive east towards the mountains. After about 1.5 miles you near the canyon. Park at the Subway/Philips 66 station. There is large parking lot with access to the Provo River Trail, from there, use your best just judgement to find a trail, of which there are many, and head up, up, and keep on climbing. It only took us about 25 minutes to reach the water station with the wonderful view.
My blog is about family, life, and the following sports: running, trail running, cycling, swimming, and tennis.
